I am pushing myself out of my comfort zone for MOVE because raising awareness of movement and healing is good!
I have signed up to an epic one-day adventure on Saturday 16th September walking the three highest peaks of the Yorkshire Dales in 12 hours.
In the 24-mile trek, we will ascend Pen-y-Ghent (694m), Whernside (736m) and Ingleborough (723m) in a circular route starting and finishing in Horton-in-Ribblesdale. Along the way taking in some stunning views of the Yorkshire Dales.
The trek is organised by Lost Earth Adventures and we are all raising money for Move Against Cancer.
There’s increasing evidence that moving more during and after cancer treatment can significantly improve physical & mental wellbeing. MOVE is embarking on a mission to support & inspire people to Move Against Cancer. We deliver an 8 week online programme for 13-30 year olds diagnosed with cancer. Our 5k Your Way initiative linked with parkrun, is a supportive community for anyone affected by cancer to go along to their local group & walk, jog, run, cheer or volunteer on the last Saturday of the month. We also have a variety of online resources.
So thankful for everyone that has sponsored so far
