I’m thrilled to share that I was recently chosen as a #SBSWinner by Theo Paphitis on Small Business Sunday! Launched in 2010, his initiative is one of the UK’s biggest and most inclusive, fostering a network of over 4,000 businesses. Last Friday, I had the privilege of attending the 11th exclusive event alongside over 1,000 fellow members – it was truly incredible!
This experience has been truly rewarding, and I’m grateful for the support and opportunities offered by the #SBS community.
The event took place at the ICC in Birmingham. It was opened by Kypros Kyprianou, who is the CEO of Theo Paphitis Retail Group with a warm welcome, and then the main man Theo Paphitis was in our presence. He talked about his vision and how he wanted to create an event where we would learn, be inspired and connect with each other. The atmosphere was fabulous. We then had a lively session from the Google team sharing a hot of the press session on how to incorporate AI in our businesses. A lot of food for thought.
We then heard from fellow #SBS Winner Susan Bonnar who turned her idea into a £1m turnover business. She was so inspiring and engaging. We also heard from a panel of entrepreneurs who have achieved their milestones in a session chaired by Natwest. Theo was around all day and made himself visible with a Q&A session from the audience. He shares and talks in real terms and offers great guidance.
Then the highlight of the event, Theo interviewed the incredible Stacey Solomon. Stacey was incredibly genuine and down-to-earth, sharing her life experiences and the ups and downs of her journey. She also unveiled her latest business ventures! Stacey generously answered questions, offering valuable business insights and tips for small business growth. Her caring nature shone through, making everyone feel valued. I left Birmingham feeling inspired and empowered to take my own business to the next level.
>To top off this incredible experience, I even had the chance to meet Theo Paphitis himself and capture a photo with him! It was an absolute privilege and an honor. I’m incredibly impressed by his generosity in creating something like #SBS that empowers small businesses. The support, guidance, and opportunities he provides are invaluable and truly make a difference for countless businesses like mine.
I’m keen to connect with other #SBSWinners in the community and have next year’s event firmly marked in my diary! A huge thank you to everyone who made this #SBSEvent2024, such a memorable and inspiring experience.
